If you haven't noticed I am a bit of a fitness junkie, positive-thinker and health advocate. I do ALL of these things and it didn't happen automatically overnight.. it took lots of resources, feeding my mind with important knowledge, feeding my body with nutritious and delicious food- all to eventually become a lifestyle. Hopefully posts like these are helpful to each and every one of you in the process of becoming a healthier, happier person.
How many of you have said, "My diet starts on Monday!" Stop waiting for the beginning of the week, month or year to change your life! Do it now! That's not an excuse anymore! Remember- being healthy shouldn't be a phase, it should be a lifestyle. I promise you it will change your lives forever. Now repeat after me:

Diets don't work! Choose to eat healthy.
We all know fad diets don't work. There is no point in skipping meals, starving yourself, or eating a carrot stick a day. Your body needs more food and nutrients to keep functioning and burning fat. The minute you intentionally stop eating, is the minute your body goes into "lock down" mode and thinks it's time to restore as much fat as possible as it doesn't know when the next meal is. Essentially, you are what you eat. Fill your body with the healthy nutrients it needs instead of dieting, detoxing or counting calories. There is no such thing as a diet. It's called a healthy eating plan, a new way to live your life. There is no such thing as one last meal or one last treat. Prohibition doesn't work. Everything comes in moderation- so go on, feed your body a little more!
H2O.
This one is self explanatory- yet why do so many people forget about it?! Water plays a vital role in your life and everyday body function, including circulation, transporting nutrients and oxygen, digestion and even regulating your body temperature. Most people are dehydrated and don't know it! We are all made up of 70% water therefore we need to be constantly rehydrating our bodies so our brains can function at it's very best ability. Try and drink one bottle of water first thing when you wake up and one straight before you go to bed. Remember to drink at least 1 litre of water a day, and for every hour of exercise you do- drink another litre! Oh and it's completely amazing for your skin! Who doesn't want that?
Go organic! Fresh organic is the way to go- it's best to avoid yucky, processed, colours, artificial flavours and sweeteners! All full of yucky nasties that damage your body. Eating fresh means you know where it's been, what it's made of and your filling up your body with simply the best. To be quite honest- if you put garbage in, you'll get garbage out. Meaning you will look and feel sluggish, tired and drained. The state of your outside health is a direct reflection of your inside health!
Shake that booty
Always remember to be active and to take time out of your day to exercise. Not only does it make you feel good it helps you to keep looking good! Try and live an active life everyday. Whether it be a killer cardio gym session, light weights, yoga, or even taking the stairs instead of the lift in your workplace- all forms of exercise contributes to your well-being!
Educate yourself
Apply yourself and try to learn as much as possible about your body, nutrition and exercise. That includes the good, the bad, the ugly, the right and the wrong. You spend your entire lifetime with your body, wouldn't you want to learn how to take care of it in order for it to run and last longer? Get out there, read books, buy magazines, feed your mind with absolutely anything and everything! You can't live a healthy lifestyle without any form of resources! So get reading and start absorbing! You can do it!
Establish a routine
Our body subconsciously remembers things better after they are written down. So grab a pen and diary and write out your schedule. Put in work & exercise and fit everything else around it. Remember living healthy isn't a "phase" it's a lifestyle. Then add anything extra that gives you that extra "kick." For example it could be something as little as reading a positive affirmation before you go to bed/wake up or exercising weekly with friends. Once you start getting into routine, you start getting the hang of it and it slowly becomes a part of your life.
We are all forms of energy. So which one are you? A negative or a positive form of energy? I know which one I'd rather be.. Believe it or not this does affect your health. If you hear someone say something negative... walk away or tell them to stop. Surrounding yourself around negative people will only bring you down and leave you feeling drained and out of energy for the more important things in life. We have the chance to say no to infectious personalities and to try and move forward being the best person we could possibly ever be. Feed yourself with positive affirmations- these help boost confidence and are constant motivators. Surround yourself with a positive, strong support system and believe in yourself. Nothing is more beautiful than confidence. So walk out and stand tall. Be proud of who you are and always remember to love yourself first. Your outside image will be a complete reflection of how you feel on the inside.
Live with passion & positivity!!
