do we give up too quickly?

As I laid in my bed, my never ending thoughts ran continuously through my mind. Thoughts about what I wish to do tomorrow and the weekend, thoughts on my goals and aspirations, thoughts on my treasured family and friends and thoughts on my relationship- these thoughts sprung me out of bed immediately to share with you all a post.

I'm 19 years old and definitely no relationship guru. But over the past three years have learned a thing or two... maybe few. And lucky for me, I have a strong support system from my friends and family who help through and are always there when times get tough.

I think it's important for someone so young to realise that "leaving straight away" isn't always the best option when things get rocky. Sometimes couples do fight. Sometimes mean and hurtful things are said. Sometimes actions speak louder than words and in turn, hurt even deeper. But it's important to realise a fight about not being able to do a park in a tight spot after 20 minutes of trying doesn't mean pack your bags and run.

Don't get me wrong, there are times when I have claimed, "It's over." As I am sure so many of you have too. But sometimes in a relationship it takes time (and possibly throwing your phone to that person- multiple times) to cool off the steam. It also takes a heck of alot of hard work. So do we give up too quickly?

Yet, other times, things change. People change. People become deceiving, conniving figures who aren't whom they made out to be. And this is when you stop and eject. Eject yourself from the swallowing monster of lies, jealousy and insecurities. I don't know about you but I am a sucker for all of the romance, the lust, the love and the passion- it's unrealistic I know. Call me high maintenance or whatever. That's just me.

And we are all aware of the honeymoon phase. The phase where it's all lovey dovey kisses, non-stop messages, wanting-to-spend every single second of the day with your man. Then one day. The flowers stop arriving. The text messages become less frequent. And instead you come home to your partner's leftovers on the sink and dirty clothes on the floor, or worse. Alone. Rage.

Being so young it's important to realise not to rush into things. That's why you have the rest of your life? Live in the now; cherish and appreciate what you do have. Learn from your mistakes and use your successes to motivate you even further.

And being so young means it's still not too late to let go. It's not too late to let go of your fears, your insecurities and those who pull you down. You are all too young and beautiful to be anyone's "bitch"  and simply deserve and are worthy of the best. Don't be afraid to be greedy, to be selfish and learn to say no. Your Prince Charming or Jacob Black is out there. Waiting for you.

Yes at the end of the day it's just a fight. But at the end of the day, you need to ask yourself. Do you love this person for the right reasons? Do the hard times make it all worth it? Will slamming the door behind you be something that you regret or be the best decision of your life?

All I'm saying to you is live in the now. Live with passion and positivity. Be aware of your self-worth. Treat others the way you wish to be treated. Don't be afraid to let go- it may hurt but turns out it could also be the best thing you could have ever done. And always, always listen to your gut instincts. 90% of the time, your judgement is always right- benefits of being a female.

And finally, love like you have never been hurt. I can assure you it is one of the most beautiful feelings in the world, even though at times you may cry a river. Or two. There just comes a point when you need to realise who is truly worth it.

That's enough of my rambling. Enjoy your sleep lovers.

currently

my life at the moment:

[+] swimming... actually drowning in a pool of unfinished/non-existent assignments to be completed
[+] heading back into the gym routine after two weeks; most painful two weeks of my life!
[+] devouring Candace Bushnell's new novel, "Summer and the City" sequel to "Carrie Diaries"
[+] re-prioritising my life; only room for things & those that truly matter;
[+] applying, applying, applying for internships ANYWHERE & EVERYWHERE.
[+] re-discovering my self worth . . .
[+] continuing to live with positivity every single day.

Destiny is for losers.

monday funday!

Good evening fellow followers;

Yes I have been a little MIA from the past week! I have been ridiculously busy and life is super chaotic/insance at the moment!

Due to all of this stress, I have realised that I have lost track of my mantra, lost track of my inner passion & positivity and am slowly returning to my bad habits.

Right now, I am pondering on the week ahead. Yes it is even busier and yes it will require further effort from my behalf, but I am choosing to view it from a different perspective.

It's sometimes good to sit down and think straight about everything in your life, and get back on track.

And I want you all to join me in living positively, passionately and healthy.

Each time a negative though comes through your mind, mentally think of a stop sign, to stop that thought from evolving into more.

Be passionate about everything that you do. Be positive on every aspect/event that occurs in your life. Be courageous about any new experiences that come across your path. Be grateful for everything and everyone that you have in your life because out there, someone is fighting a tougher battle. Be respectful of others and of course, yourself. Be happy for given the opportunity to live, laugh and love.

Don't make it a phase, make it a way of living
Have a fabulous start to your week!

I am positive, determined & driven towards my goals & attract healthy relationships into my life. I will not allow anyone elses negative thoughts or comments come in between me & MY journey."

be grateful;

Good evening fashion followers!

How has everyone's week been so far? Depending on what side of the world you live in, you might JUST be starting your week or be nearly half way!

I know many of you dread Mondays, but I absolutely love them. I can honestly say this without any doubt.

 Sure it marks the end of the weekend, but it also marks the beginning of a brand new week! It is a day where you can outline some goals, achieve them and be willing to achieve some more!

Use it as an opportunity to begin your healthkick/detox diet, your new health and fitness regime or even begin reading that neglected book you've had sitting on your shelf for weeks!

Be optimistic for the week ahead. The more positivity you manifest, the more you will embrace in your life.

I found this cute post on tumblr.com

Puts the words right in my mouth. Be grateful for being able to see the beginning of another week!

Before I bid you adieu, I have some very exciting news to share with you all! Always Threaded is working on a few little projects to share with you dedicated readers. Be sure to keep an eye out for hints. I am going to be a very very busy bee the next few months!

Have a fabulous week!
Gros bisous
