currently

my life at the moment:

[+] swimming... actually drowning in a pool of unfinished/non-existent assignments to be completed
[+] heading back into the gym routine after two weeks; most painful two weeks of my life!
[+] devouring Candace Bushnell's new novel, "Summer and the City" sequel to "Carrie Diaries"
[+] re-prioritising my life; only room for things & those that truly matter;
[+] applying, applying, applying for internships ANYWHERE & EVERYWHERE.
[+] re-discovering my self worth . . .
[+] continuing to live with positivity every single day.

there is a lot to do, but nothing to worry about. xxx

luxe lust list

I just realised my last blog post was last week... and what a super massive week it has been!!

Today I will keep my blog post short and sweet and share with you my current "luxe lust list."

A list with 7 exquisite items, all of which one by one will be in my possession. Each item I find, will be a life long investment (hopefully) and each worth every single penny. Time to start saving!

1. Calvin Klein Round Grey Dial Steel Case Mens Classic Watch- A bit of a mouthful and yes I am aware it does say "MENS" but that's the thing with oversized watches. They are all from the mens collection and this one is a little classic. must be mine!

2. Hermes Ulysse Notebook. Some of you are sitting there thinking, why would you pay $300 for a piece of leather? Well I answer with a) it is Hermes. b) I have a severe obsession with diaries & keeping organised and this baby will be one I will never get sick of! Did I mention it's hermes?

3. Jeffrey Campbell Booties. An oldie but a goodie. Have had my eye on these little babies for a while and eventually they will join my shoe collection.

4. Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Co. Charcoal Bone Cuff. So so so beautiful. Best statement piece of jewelry I have come across in a long time! & yes this too will one day be mine!

5. Tom Ford "Nico" Retro Sunglasses- I have grown a love for sunglasses. Especially expensive ones. And this Tom Ford pair takes the cake! Cute and versatile. Perfect!

6. Viktor Rolf, Flowerbomb- Quite possibly the least dearest item on my luxe list but still expensive for a bottle of eau de parfum. Smells absolutely delish. So pretty & feminine. Another classic.

7. Canon DSLR Camera- Self explanatory. I want. I want. I want.

What are you currently lusting over?

treasure thursdays;

Because alliteration is cool, here is my weekly post of my recent buys && things I am lusting over!

♥ Wow. The amazing things I have heard from this book!! I am so excited to give it a read. For those who don't know, a recount of Portia De Rossi's journey recovering from her battle with anorexia. From her lowest point, she began the painful climb to defeat the brutal battle to finally live a healthy and honest life. I will let you all know what I think of it! If you have read it, I would also love to hear your thoughts!

♥ asos you never cease to amaze me! This time, my order was slightly under control with a little baby order. I have been on the hunt for Aviator shades for weeks now! Ideally, I would die for a Marc Jacobs pair but I couldn't wait any longer and found these on asos and they were cheap as chips! Yes I know I bought two of the same style but they are oh so different and amp up any outfit! I have started a growing addiction to sunglasses.... it's a little bit strange but if you think about it, a vital accessory! Oh and did I mention free shipping?

♥ As some of you know from my previous post, I have been out on the hunt for a natural organic skin care range. And I found one! Thanks to my beautiful friend who is as addicted to beauty products as me, she recommended Australia's own, "sukin." Here are the my 3 must have steps: cleanse; tone & moisturise. I've heard it does magic to your skin! So excited to use it! What skin care products do you use?

♥ My biggest splurge this week. The newest addition to my handbag family. Say hello to "Viking Day" by Mimco. I absolutely love bucket bags/pouches. A little different to your conventional shoulder bag. Almost a bottomless pit, this baby can fit anything and everything in! And I am in love with the colour- I am more a brown/tan/white/beige fashion palette person by day and black based outfits by night. Perfect to be carrying around uni!

♥ Miranda Kerr. My biggest inspiration for absolutely everything. She is beyond pretty, positive and her style is to die for! Such an inspiring, motivating and overall just a beautiful human being loving the finer things in life. I admit, I have a girl crush.

Finally, to my fellow religious followers, Happy Easter!! don't forget to thank baby Jesus for giving us the opportunity to live life without sin. Amen.

Gros bisous

winter beauty essentials;

It's April and Brisbane is still slightly confused as to what season it is in! One day it will be scorching hot, the next raining and gloomy, the following windy and cold! But one thing's for sure, the mornings are becoming slightly crisp and cooler which only means one thing- winter is coming!

Winter is my favourite season- fashion wise. Put away your shorties, your bikinis, your thongs and bring out your tights, boots, capes, coats and my favourite- scarves!

As we are transitioning into a different season, it's vital our beauty regime and products transition with us and are altered slightly to adapt to the change in weather!

My name is Wendy. And I am a beautyholic. It's a terrible addiction. I am a sucker for beauty products and their marketing. I love the pretty bottles, exotic smells and colours! Just putting it out there, my addiction has evolved tremendously from a nail file to an extensive collection of perfumes, lotions, nail polish and make up!

Here are my winter beauty essentials!

1. Moroccan Oil. It is as amazing as everyone makes it out to be! It has been two weeks since I purchased the shampoo, conditioner and oil myself and it has completely rebuilt my hair! My hair is stronger, healthier and shinier! Good bye deadends. Smells absolute delish! Do not walk, RUN to your hairdresser now!

2. Le Khakis- Chanel. Yes they have been in season for quite some time, but these colours will never be out of style. They are a must have in your wardrobe palette and who can resist a la coco chanel?

3. Lancome- Hypnose. My favourite mascara ever. Long fluttery lashes are a must! Even for the makeup minimalist. It has taken me months to search for my favourite mascara and we finally have a winner!

4. Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh. Rasberry blended with rose and plum makes for a fruiter take on the original. Yum! Fruity summer sensations.

5. Lucas' Paw Paw Ointment. This is an oldie but a goodie! Not only is it good for those cracked dry winter lips, this baby can be used for almost anything! Cuts, grazes, scratches and personally, a little dab of ointment on my lashes every night before bed helps them grow lucious and long!

6. Body Shop Coconut Butter. I am a Palmer's girl through and through but this little one gives a run for it's money! Nice and thick to prevent dry winter skin and smells so so yummy! The boys love it too ;)

7. NARS Lipstick & Bronzer. Currently a sucker for anything NARS. Their products are to die for! I have been completely missing out. Don't forget to brighten up your outfit with some lippy and of course keep that summer glow with a touch of bronzer!

8. KORA Organic Skincare. Designed by the queen of organic herself, Miranda Kerr, I have heard nothing but pure bliss stories from these products! This Winter I am on the hunt for the perfect organic products for my skin. Time to get rid of the nasties and embrace nature's own ingredients. This is definitely on my maybe list!

What are your winter beauty must-haves?
You all deserve a little indulgence.
